REQUIREMENTS FOR ENROLMENT

  1. Must have been a faithful Christian for at least 2 years. 

  2. If one has been unfaithful and restored, he/she must have been faithful for at least one year. 

  3. Enclose a letter of recommendation from the local congregation. 

  4. Answer all questions on the application form and attach a passport size photo. 

  5. Write a statement on reasons for desiring to attend. 

  6. Enclose a medical certificate showing you are free of contagious diseases and able to study.

  7. Be free from the use of harmful or unlawful drugs (including alcohol and tobacco). 

  8. All foreign students are required by law to abide by rules/regulations of Immigration Authorities. 

ADMINISTRATION

  1. The Trinidad School of Preaching is overseen by the leaders of the San Fernando church of Christ. 

  2. The School Committee manages the operation of the school and makes recommendations to faculty, students, parents and the minstry leaders of the San Fernando church. 

  3. The School Committee consists of Director, Dean, two members from congregations outside of San Fernando, and one member from San Fernando. 

  4. The Dorm Supervisor and Secretary also support the operation to the school.

GENERAL INFORMATION 

General Information

The Trinidad School of Preaching...

  1. is overseen by the Ministry Leaders of the San Fernando congregation. 

  2. teaches a 2-year intensive Bible curriculum with emphasis on personal evangelism. Within a third year  a student may complete their degree through our links with Bear Valley Bible Institute.

  3. believes that the proven way to reach the world is to train all so that they may return to their own lands or others, where they are readily accepted, to teach the Gospel message of salvation and establish and/or strengthen the church that Jesus built. 

  4. has as it's motto, 2 Timothy 2:2 "and the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit them to faithful men who will be able to teach others also" (NKJV) 

  5. provides monthly subsistence aid to students. 

  6. asks interested US, Caribbean and local churches to sponsor the monthly support of one or more student by sending donations to the Trinidad School of Preaching.

  7. provides a dormitory for male and female students, which is overseen by a dormitory supervisor who lives on site. 

  8. is allowed to accommodate up to 20 students a the church of Christ building in San Fernando. 

  9. is registered as a private school with the Ministry of Education in Trinidad and Tobago(Registration No. 719)

  10. teaches the doctrine of Christ as presented in the New Testament. 

  11. promotes the bible as the only inspired written revelation of God for mankind. 

  12. seeks to train some men for full-time personal and public ministry and others for part-time ministry, if, like Paul making a living is necessary when the church is weak. 

  13. exalts Christ as the head of the church He built(Matthew 16:18) and adds all obedient souls to(Acts 2:47)

  14. has as its VISION: TO REACH EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE WITH THE UNADULTERATED GOSPEL MESSAGE OF CHRIST AND TO ESTABLISH AND STRENGTHEN CHRIST'S CHURCH IN THE WORLD TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND THE BETTERMENT OF HUMANITY. 

  15. has as it's MISSION: TO TRAIN MEN AND WOMEN TO GO, TEACH AND BRING OTHERS TO CHRIST AND TO DEVELOP THEM IN HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, THROUGH THE STUDY AND PRACTICE OF THE WORD OF GOD.

The Trinidad School of Preaching is a non-profit organization. It’s goal is to train men and women to be preachers and teachers of God's word. As such, students are not required to pay tuition to attend the school. Teaching material is provided by dedicated instructors and therefore there is no cost to the students in purchasing text books. The expenses of the school comprise of staff salaries and stipends, maintenance of the dormitory, and other operational expenses.

The school is funded by generous churches and Christians who have a heart for God’s work. We seek to partner with individuals and congregations who are willing to assist in ensuring this great work continues.
